Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a nurturing environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs, and creating engaging learning experiences. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives while working in a collaborative and supportive setting.

Duties

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
  • Supervise children during play, meals, naps, and educational activities to ensure safety and engagement
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment adhering to health and safety standards
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress, behavior, and daily activities
  • Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized care
  • Assist with diapering, feeding, and other caregiving responsibilities as needed
  • Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans and improve classroom practices
  • Follow all licensing regulations and company policies related to childcare and early childhood education

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is preferred
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific caregiving techniques
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already held
  • Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a nurturing learning environment
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and team members
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting with patience and professionalism
  • Childcare credentials or early childhood education background is preferred but not mandatory for all roles

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
