Daycare Teacher

**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a passionate Daycare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in childhood development, daycare, caregiving, and /or childcare. If you are enthusiastic about educating and caring for children, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate curriculum and activities that support social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
• Observe, assess, and document children’s progress and development, identifying areas for individual growth.
• Communicate regularly with parents about their child’s development, activities, and any concerns.
• Prioritize the safety, health, and well-being of all children, ensuring a secure and supportive environment.
• Collaborate with other staff members to continuously enhance program quality and meet Maryland childcare standards.
• Ensure compliance with all licensing and regulatory requirements.
• Train Assistant Teacher and Assistant.
• Responsible in entering the food meal in the food program KidKare.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required); coursework in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or educational setting
• 90+ clock hours (or equivalent) in approved early childhood coursework
• CPR and First Aid certification (required)
• Completion of all mandatory training within 60 days of employment (per Maryland childcare regulations)
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage children and families
• Demonstrated qualities of being creative, patient, detail-oriented, proactive, and nurturing
• Ability to take initiative and work both independently and as part of a team
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
