Responsibilities

  • Support lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and developmental milestones
  • Assist with supervising children during activities, playtime, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and engagement
  • Facilitate age-appropriate learning experiences that promote literacy, math skills, social-emotional development, and creativity
  • Help manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies
  • Provide individualized attention and mentoring to children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or autism
  • Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress and activities to foster a collaborative approach to development

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with children in a childcare or classroom setting is preferred
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles, childhood development, and classroom management techniques
  • Familiarity with special education strategies, behavior management, and working with individuals with disabilities or autism is highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining patience and enthusiasm
  • Basic proofreading skills for documentation and progress reports
  • Certification or coursework in early childhood education or related fields is a plus but not mandatory
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive environment that supports diverse learning needs
