Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging daily activities that promote childhood development, including preschool, toddler care, and infant care routines
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by adhering to health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary
- Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation, respect, and independence among children
- Support children with special needs or disabilities through tailored activities and inclusive teaching practices
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and any incidents or observations
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's developmental milestones and address any concerns
- Manage classroom environments effectively through classroom management techniques that promote orderliness and engagement
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or early childhood education setting
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-appropriate teaching methods
- Certification in first aid and CPR; additional certifications in special education or working with people with disabilities are a plus
- Strong classroom experience with toddlers, infants, or preschool-aged children
- Ability to manage behavior effectively while maintaining a caring and supportive atmosphere
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, colleagues, and children
- Passion for nurturing young minds and fostering a love of learning from an early age
