Daytime Manager

Elly’s Ice Cream is a modern ice cream shop serving artfully delicious super premium ice cream treats with perfectly endless combinations.

Applicants should possess superior customer service skills, be highly organized, capable of working independently and be prepared to work in a variety of capacities including:

Understanding and learning the shop menu to craft artfully delicious treats with precision, consistency and attention to detail

Ensure opening, closing and downtime procedures are being executed on shifts worked

Keeping the overall appearance of the shop in its best condition

Coaching employees on shifts worked when cleaning or stocking of items are missed or not done correctly

Ensure shop equipment is kept clean including shake machines and waffle maker

Flagging to employees when items on opening and closing checklist are not met

Conducting walk-thru on shifts to ensure opening and closing checklists items are crossed off

Making list for next shift manager for ‘to do items’ to be addressed

Operating the soft-serve machine maintenance including stirring and removing foam, assisting owners in cleaning of the machine, filling soft-serve when it is low and inventorying soft-serve including taking out frozen soft-serve to be thawed when necessary

Helping manage inventory and flagging when items are low (checklist to be provided)

Manage ice cream inventory, clean and sort tubs; teaching staff how to do this

Ability to work special events including: weddings, shop/Grove events, charitable events, festivals and farmer’s markets

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour
