DBA / SQL Database Developer (Healthcare Industry)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled SQL Database Developer with 2–3 years of hands-on experience. The ideal candidate will develop, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases that support healthcare applications. This role requires strong SQL expertise, attention to data integrity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.

Major Responsibilities

Database Development & Maintenance

* Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL databases for business applications

* Ensure database functionality, security, and backup reliability

SQL Query Design & Optimization

* Write and optimize T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and scripts

* Improve performance using MS SQL Server tools and best practices

Data Integrity & Security

* Maintain data consistency, integrity, and compliance with healthcare data regulations

* Implement security measures and monitor database activity

Cross-Functional Collaboration

* Work with development teams and project managers to deliver technical solutions

* Participate in the application development lifecycle

Continual Learning

* Stay updated on new tools, trends, and technologies to improve database performance and reliability

Database Administration Involvement

* Database management, migration, and integration

* Backup, recovery, and performance tuning

* High availability setup and maintenance

* Database scripting and automation

* Troubleshooting, diagnostics, and support

Requirements

* 2–3 years of experience as a SQL Server Developer

* Strong proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures, and database architecture

* Experience with SQL Server performance tuning and optimization

* Solid understanding of schema design and normalization

* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

* Experience with C# .NET or REST APIs is a plus

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline
