Duties

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Monitor patient health by observing vital signs and reporting changes promptly using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
  • Support medication administration following prescribed guidelines while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA privacy regulations
  • Provide specialized care such as Alzheimer's and dementia care, memory care, hospice support, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities
  • Operate medical equipment like Hoyer lifts, catheters, and other assistive devices safely and effectively
  • Prepare nutritious meals, assist with feeding if necessary, and handle light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe living environment
  • Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare standards

Requirements

  • DDA CERTIFICATION
  • Proven experience in home health care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and medical documentation practices
  • Certifications such as CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) are required; additional certifications like hospice care or catheter care are a plus
  • Ability to work independently in clients’ homes while maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines
  • Strong patient observation skills to detect changes in condition or behavior promptly
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are often necessary for travel between client locations

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
