Debt Collector / Collections Officer

We are seeking an experienced Debt Collector / Collections Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate has proven experience in debt collection, can work under pressure, handle multiple cases simultaneously, and communicate firmly yet professionally with clients.

This role requires strong follow-up skills, accuracy in reporting, and the ability to meet collection targets while complying with company policies and legal standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Contact clients to follow up on outstanding payments via phone, email, and in-person visits when required
• Negotiate payment plans and settlement arrangements professionally
• Maintain accurate records of collection activities and client communications
• Prepare regular collection reports and updates for management
• Follow up on overdue accounts and ensure timely recovery
• Coordinate with finance, sales, and legal teams as needed
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations
• Manage multiple accounts and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• Previous experience in debt collection or credit control (required)
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written)
• Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook – reporting is essential)
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality
• Strong attention to detail and follow-up discipline

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in debt collection or a related financial role
• Experience handling high-volume or corporate accounts
• Knowledge of UAE collection practices and procedures
