Dedicated Account Assistant Manager

POSITION SUMMARY
Assists the Dedicated Account Director and Dedicated Account Manager with the overall operations of the assigned dedicated account and management of on-site staff to ensure transportation service expectations are met.

Shift: Tuesday-Saturday 9am-6pm or Tuesday-Saturday 7am-4pm

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs supervisory responsibilities, as needed, to effectively manage personnel including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning work, appraising performance, disciplining, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Establishes and maintains positive working relationships to meet or exceed customer expectations while optimizing the transportation network.
  • Assists shop managers, operations associates, and drivers in adhering to timely maintenance of equipment.
  • Monitors loading/unloading appointments and dispatches equipment as needed to assure daily on-time delivery.
  • Monitors driver logbook hours to comply with Department of Transportation regulations.
  • Participates in driver written and verbal warnings, physical paperwork preparation, orientation follow up and annual reviews
  • Adjusts shift schedule as needed to cover when needed if manager or associate is not available
  • Adheres to company policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Receives and carries out instructions.
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Performs work requiring advanced knowledge while consistently exercising discretion and judgement.
  • Solves problems and makes decisions independently.
  • Manages multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Associate degree from two-year college; one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and
experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods sitting at desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times.
  • Ability to travel.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
