Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with deli products, including meats, cheeses, and prepared foods, ensuring items are properly labeled and rotated for freshness
• Use RF scanners and inventory control systems to track stock levels accurately and facilitate timely replenishment
• Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts safely to load and unload deliveries from trucks
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area and storage spaces
• Assist with shipping and receiving tasks by verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and organizing stock accordingly
• Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively to maximize sales potential
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products, offering recommendations, and assisting with special requests
• Perform heavy lifting when handling large or bulky items safely using proper techniques and equipment
• Collaborate with team members to ensure the deli department meets quality standards and safety regulations
• Contribute to overall store maintenance by cleaning work areas regularly and ensuring compliance with health standards
• Support retail sales activities through cashiering duties when needed, including processing transactions accurately
• Engage in bilingual communication with diverse customers to enhance shopping experience (nice-to-have)

Requirements

• Previous warehouse or retail experience preferred; familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory management and product placement
• Ability to operate RF scanners, pallet jacks, forklifts (certification preferred), and other warehouse equipment safely
• Capable of heavy lifting regularly throughout shifts; physical stamina is essential
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers in multiple languages (bilingual ability is a plus)
• Knowledge of inventory control procedures, shipping & receiving processes, and merchandising techniques
• Basic understanding of retail math for pricing, stock levels, and sales transactions
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and safety standards
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within the department or store operations

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
