We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Grocery and Deli Associate to join our team. As a key member of our store operations, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of our store, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting our inventory management processes.

This position includes scheduled shifts in either the deli or the store depending on the day and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Prepare coffee, sandwiches, donuts, and other deli items; assist with deli and store prep
• Upsell additional menu items and promotions to customers
• Restock shelves and manage inventory levels to ensure a well-stocked and visually appealing store
• Operate a cash register, handle cash transactions, and manage a point-of-sale (POS) system as needed — primary responsibility will be working on the floor
• Maintain store appearance and cleanliness, including sanitizing surfaces and equipment
• Assist with receiving and stocking merchandise, including unloading and organizing shipments
• Use inventory management software to track stock levels and monitor inventory turnover
• Follow food safety guidelines and ensure proper handling of all food products
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve store objectives and promote a positive team culture
• Perform other tasks as needed to ensure efficient store operations

Experience & Skills

• Previous experience in a grocery store, deli, or food service environment is preferred
• Experience on a POS system and familiarity with cash handling procedures
• Knowledge of upselling techniques to increase sales
• Understanding of food safety regulations and practices
• Ability to follow forecasting lists for food prep
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and multitask with ease
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects and navigate stairs while carrying merchandise

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay based on previous barista/food service experience + TIPS

Schedule

• Weekend availability is required — both Saturday and Sunday
• Shifts: 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Opportunity for opening shifts on select days
