Delivery Dispatcher Manager
Dispatcher Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Schedule and dispatch delivery drivers
- Pull invoiced items and assure accuracy of itemized invoices
- Track vehicle locations and route progress using dispatch software
- Communicate job details and updates to field staff and clients
- Respond to client calls and adjust driver route schedules as needed
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, and fuel receipt's
- Monitor delivery drivers' lunches and breaks
- Ensure compliance with safety and transportation regulations
- Resolve customer issues or delays in a timely manner
- Prepare daily dispatch logs and reports
Dispatcher Qualifications and Skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to stay calm in high-pressure situations
- Basic computer skills and experience with dispatch software
- Attention to detail and time management
