Catanese Classics is Ohio’s premier choice for Seafood, Meat, Cheese, Spices, and other specialty goods. Need Drivers to operate delivery van or box truck carrying seafood, meat, and related items and deliver to customers within the delivery area. Routes are in Columbus, Cincinnati, Dayton, and Indianapolis. Work in the Columbus warehouse from time to time as needed.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections of vehicle before departing to deliver goods, including a check of fuel gauges and mileage.

• Receives delivery list from warehouse manager. Pack and load product/orders onto trucks according to company specifications and supervisors directions.

• Deliver orders to customers (restaurants, groceries, and institutions) on assigned routes.

• Unload goods as per client specifications, check in and review orders with customers to ensure products meet their needs.

• Obtain delivery confirmations from each customer by a signed invoice. The delivery driver accepts payment or signature for items delivered.

• Adhere to assigned route, truck, and follow time schedule.

• Provide professional and courteous customer service, answer questions, handle complaints, and call appropriate office for resolutions.

• Complete reports, paperwork and other documents related to deliveries. Operation of other equipment. i.e. cars, trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks.

• Maintain daily communication with office and supervisor.

• Participate in mandatory meetings and completes trainings as required.

• Keep truck clean; clean out cab and back of truck at end of day. Fill gas tank at end of delivery.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

· Must have a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record free of any major infractions such as DUI, suspension, multiple accidents, or excessive speeding tickets (Reckless Operation)

· Minimum 5 years’ experience as Delivery Driver

· Must follow traffic regulations and drive safely.

· DOT medical card not required upon hire but must be obtained to drive.

We are a DOT Certified company and follow those guidelines and protocol.

· Working cell phone with navigation capabilities

· Ability to pass company driving test, background check and drug test.

· Basic knowledge and understanding of food safety and fmsa rules.

· Must possess a positive and professional attitude and be punctual.

· Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly.

· May need to negotiate steps, walkways, and storage areas to place items in customer refrigerated or freezer areas.

· Able to use hand dollies with 250 lb. load up and down flights of stairs.

· Ability to walk, drive, lift and carry heavy items for extended periods.

· Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision.

· Be a team player.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
