Responsibilities

• Safely operate a box truck or similar commercial vehicle, including manual transmission models, to deliver goods across designated routes.
• Load and unload products efficiently using equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks, ensuring items are secured properly for transit.
• Plan and follow optimized delivery routes to maximize efficiency and meet delivery deadlines.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting clients professionally, answering questions, and addressing any concerns during deliveries.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met; report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management, moving stock, and organizing shipments as needed.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery confirmation records for accountability.

Skills

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with a strong focus on route driving and customer service.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling of packages safely and efficiently.
• Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other loading tools.
• Excellent navigation skills with knowledge of local routes; ability to adapt to changing traffic conditions.
• Strong communication skills for interacting positively with customers and team members.
