Summary: Responsible for the transporting of materials.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned.
· Drives truck to and from assigned destination.
· Prepares receipts for load picked up and delivery.
· Maintains truck and maintenance logs. Things include gas card, maintenance card, insurance card, inspection sticker, registration sticker, etc.
· Maintains contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
· Loads and unloads truck.
· Inspects truck, equipment, trailer and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water prior to every assignment.
· Performs emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, tire chains, and spark plugs.
· Positions blocks and straps around items to secure cargo during transit.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or up to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid Driver’s License
Other Skills and Abilities: Microsoft Office experience or equivalent.
Other Qualifications: Must drive varying distances to remote customer sites and may regularly travel overnight to perform all duties. Must be 21 years of age or older
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
