Job Summary

The Driver must be a safely conscious, hardworking individual. This role requires the use of a Full-size Chevy 2500 work van. Good communication skills and the ability to follow directions and protocols are required. Hours will be from 9am until the route is completed, Mon-Fri usually 5-8hrs per day. Please understand before you apply that this route encompasses ALL of PDX and the surrounding areas, 50-100 miles a day in traffic, you really must enjoy driving.

Essential Functions

• Check wheels for damage, finish, cracks ect
• Ensures cost-effective usage of maps routes and traffic.
• Supports the production manager by notifying them of mechanical wear and maintenance due on the delivery vehicle.
• Ability to read and understand work orders.
• Other duties as assigned by the general manager/production manager.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, Wheels and Tires in and out of the van.
• CLEAN DRIVING RECORD
• Check fluids, Motor Oil, Radiator fluid, Trans Fluid, Brake and steering.

Frequently, the Delivery driver's actions strongly impact the company’s revenue, operations, reputation, and customer satisfaction. The Driver follows routine procedures, establishes guidelines, or clearly stated standards, does not make independent decisions, and performs work under minimal supervision.

Work environment

• We deliver and pick up all over the PDX and outlying cities.
• Must be able to sit, stand, bend, and twist as needed. Requires walking on non-level surfaces, inside and outside the office, throughout the day.
• Lifting of 50lbs or more is common and requires proper lifting techniques.
• Be comfortable in heavy traffic

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Ability to operate a mid-size vehicle
• Ability to maintain safety
• Follows company vehicle policies
• Must be able to read a map
• Clean driving record
• Must be 18 years old or older
