Responsibilities

• Safely operate a box truck or similar commercial vehicle to deliver goods across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Load and unload shipments efficiently using equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts, ensuring items are handled with care and precision.
• Manage route driving with focus on punctuality, optimizing delivery schedules to meet customer expectations.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service during deliveries, addressing questions or concerns with a positive attitude.
• Assist with warehouse tasks including moving inventory, organizing stock, and maintaining accurate delivery documentation.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met; report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Follow proper safety procedures during heavy lifting, manual handling, and when operating equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with a strong understanding of route driving and time management.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating a box truck or similar commercial vehicle is preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks involved in loading/unloading shipments safely.
• Warehouse experience including moving inventory and operating equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks is advantageous.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Knowledge of manual transmission vehicles is a plus; familiarity with <PERSON> driver standards is preferred.
• Strong attention to safety protocols and ability to follow detailed instructions in fast-paced environments.
