Position Summary
To complete assigned deliveries and pick-up merchandise and assist with shipping and receiving responsibilities by performing the following duties.
Essential Job Functions
Operates company vehicle in a professional, safe and courteous manner.
Picks up medications, supplies and equipment from warehouse.
Delivers medications, supplies and equipment to customers in a timely manner.
Ensures delivery of appropriate merchandise in accordance with customer delivery ticket.
Ensures delivery vehicles are clean and in good working condition.
Performs daily maintenance checks and reports malfunctions to management.
Ensures customer messages/communications are relayed to appropriate management.
Returns signed delivery ticket to the office and scans it into the Electronic Medical Record.
Assists in maintaining a neat and clean workplace at all times.
Assists with stocking the shipping and receiving department to include lifting and carrying cartons and placing them on appropriate shelves, disposing of cardboard in appropriate receptacle.
Assists pharmacy in pulling supplies and DME correctly and timely.
Fills delivery orders by obtaining the required supplies and completing appropriate paperwork.
Provides customer with a copy of the delivery ticket for deliveries and/or equipment pick up form for merchandise to be picked up.
Assists with packing and printing labels for shipping.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.
May provide informal guidance or mentorship to new drivers or support staff as needed.
Required Education, Licensure & Experience
All requirements below are job-related and consistent with business necessity.
High school graduate or general education degree (GED).
Prior work-related experience in delivery, logistics, or healthcare setting.
Preferred Education & Experience
Preferred qualifications are not required but are job-related and consistent with business necessity.
Some college coursework or vocational training in logistics, healthcare, or related field.
Experience in healthcare delivery or pharmacy services, including home infusion or medical supply delivery.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality.
Prior experience with route planning, delivery tracking software, or electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Customer service experience in a healthcare or clinical environment.
Experience handling and transporting temperature-sensitive medications or medical equipment.

The Delivery Driver frequently stands, walks, sits, talks, hears, and uses hands to handle packages, equipment, and paperwork throughout the workday. The role requires occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, as well as lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds. Repetitive motions of the hands and feet are required, and no special vision requirements are needed. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
Work Environment
The Delivery Driver works primarily in a vehicle and may travel to patient homes, healthcare facilities, and the warehouse. The role involves occasional to frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions, wet or humid environments, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The typical noise level is quiet to moderate, and employees must be able to hear alarms, client calls, and instructions from staff.
