Delivery Driver

Overview
Reliable Delivery Driver to pick up, transport, and deliver packages, parcels, food, or goods to customers and businesses safely and on time while providing excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and load items for delivery; verify contents against manifests or delivery instructions.
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes using GPS or route-planning tools.
• Deliver items to residential and commercial addresses, obtain signatures or photo proof of delivery.
• Handle packages carefully to avoid damage; follow proper lifting and handling procedures.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding delays, exceptions, or customer queries.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, PODs, and electronic records.
• Perform basic vehicle checks and report maintenance or safety issues.
• Adhere to traffic laws, company policies, and health & safety guidelines.
• Assist with loading/unloading when required and support warehouse or depot staff during peak periods.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license appropriate for vehicle class; clean driving record.
• Ability to lift and carry packages up to [e.g., 25–50 kg] depending on role requirements.
• Punctual, reliable, and able to work independently under time constraints.
• Familiarity with GPS/navigation apps and smartphone use.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Right to work in [country/region]; background check and drug screen may be required.

Preferred

• Previous delivery driving or courier experience.
• Knowledge of local area and traffic patterns.
• Forklift or vehicle-specific endorsements if role involves larger vehicles.
• Experience with handheld scanning devices and delivery management apps.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RO19.250 - RO30.240 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
