Delivery Driver

Tyson Furniture is hiring a Delivery Driver. This position is a very fast paced, physical job. You will drive a box truck and will be responsible for delivery and set-up of merchandise in customer's homes. This position is full-time with company paid life insurance, company paid health insurance with HSA match, 401K (401K Match), vacation and sick pay.

Requirements:

High-School Diploma preferred, but not required.

Must be 21 years of age.

Must pass criminal background check and DOT physical prior to employment.

Must have clean Criminal History.

Must have a Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Subject to random drug and alcohol testing.

Must be able to read maps and follow oral and written instructions.

Heavy lifting required.

Must maintain personal appearance by following Tyson's dress code requirements.

Must be able to work Monday - Friday with alternating Saturdays.

Must be able to work out of state overnight when requested.

Self-motivated. Positive attitude.

Excellent customer service skills.

Excellent time management skills.

Duties: Responsible for delivery truck and merchandise on the truck. Delivery and set-up of furniture in customer's home, removing old furniture when necessary. Complete all paperwork involved. Operate vehicle in a safe and courteous manner. Responsible for the condition of truck and to write daily truck maintenance reports. Supervises work of Delivery Helper. Backup warehouse duties when not on a delivery. Must drive and operate a lift truck after completing a training program. Inspect and touch up merchandise prior to loading. Physical Demands: The ability to perform all duties associated with the position includes lifting heavy furniture, loading and unloading trucks, performing in home furniture deliveries, standing, bending, stooping, prolonged sitting, and repetitive motion associated with driving, offloading, installing, and assembling furniture, bedding, rugs, and accessories.
