Summary:
The Delivery Driver plays a key role in ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of materials, displays, and other company assets as directed by Production and Logistics Manager. This position requires a critical level of responsibility, reliability, discretion, focus, and attention to detail, as well as a commitment to safety in every aspect of the job. The Delivery Driver represents ImagiCorps in the community and is expected to maintain a professional, courteous, and customer-focused attitude at all times. Flexibility, proactive attitude, and a readiness to assist beyond listed job duties are essential characteristics.
Essential Responsibilities:
· Consistently practice safe, defensive driving techniques.
· Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle; report and address any maintenance or safety issues immediately.
· Ensure cargo is properly secured and handled with care to prevent damage.
· Follow all company, local, and DOT safety regulations and policies.
· Safely operate company vehicles, including cargo vans, pickup trucks with trailers, and large box trucks up to 26 feet in length.
· Plan and execute delivery routes to ensure timely pickups and deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and company safety policies.
· Load, secure, transport, and unload materials in a manner that prevents damage to equipment and inventory.
· Complete delivery documentation, vehicle inspection reports, and other required records accurately and on time.
· Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles, including large box trucks, to verify safe operating condition.
· Monitor vehicle cleanliness, fuel levels, fluid levels, tire condition, and maintenance requirements.
· Report accidents, mechanical issues, damage, or safety concerns immediately.
· Maintain a clean and professional appearance of all company vehicles.
· Maintain clear, ongoing communication with the Production and Logistics Manager regarding schedules, deliveries, and any unforeseen delays or issues.
· Respond promptly and professionally to requests, updates, or changes in plans.
· Ensure all delivery documentation (packing slips, purchase orders, trip logs) is accurate and submitted on time.
· Uphold ImagiCorps’ commitment to professionalism and excellent service while interacting with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and the public.
· Project a positive image through courteous behavior, professionalism, and respect for client property.
· Assist in general warehouse tasks such as shipping, receiving, and occasional facility maintenance when needed. May also be included as extra help in the warehouse and in the field to assist Field Installers mock-ups/set-up, dismantle, loading and offloading assets.
· Keep company vehicles clean, organized, and well-maintained.
· Be willing to step beyond core driving responsibilities to support the team, ensuring smooth daily operations.
· Wear company-provided uniform and maintain a neat appearance.
· Accurately log all hours worked and activities performed.
· Follow through on assigned tasks with attention to detail and a positive, solutions-oriented attitude.
