Responsibilities

• Safely operate various types of vehicles including commercial trucks and automobiles in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and meet delivery deadlines.
• Load, unload, and secure merchandise with proper lifting practices, including heavy lifting when necessary.
• Communicate effectively with clients to confirm delivery details, answer questions, and build positive relationships.
• Upsell additional products or services where appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and sales goals.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, route logs, and vehicle inspections in accordance with organizational standards.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance to ensure safety and compliance.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial driving, route driving, or heavy vehicle operation with a clean driving record.
• Strong knowledge of pricing strategies, merchandising techniques, and retail store operations.
• Excellent math skills for calculating delivery loads, pricing adjustments, and route planning.
• Exceptional communication skills for client interaction, team coordination, and reporting.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and commercial truck driving standards.
• Customer service orientation with a talent for relationship building and client communication.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in sales or upselling techniques to enhance revenue opportunities.
• Background in military service or military-style discipline that emphasizes safety, organization, and reliability is a plus.
