Delivery Driver/Warehouse Associate

We are currently looking for a detail orientated Delivery Driver/Warehouse Associate to help keep the merchandise flowing in a safe and efficient manner.

Job Description:

• Efficiently and accurately route, load and safely deliver in accordance with company standards.
• Drivers will load and/or unload freight at various locations and under varied conditions.
• Work with warehouse operations as needed, to include pulling, checking and loading freight into the delivery vehicle.
• Perform routine inspections of delivery vehicles to ensure road worthiness and safety.
• Adhere to all safety and compliance guidelines, to include policy and procedure for the operation of company vehicles and warehouse equipment.
• Ensure packages receive no damage to insure relationships with multiple businesses.
• Efficiently use and operate a pallet jack and forklift.
• Performing the physical tasks involved in shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of products, materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.
• Unloading/loading, picking/packing, sorting, and distributing inventory.
• Customer service while loading customer vehicles with their merchandise.
• May use power equipment including, but not limited to, forklift, hand tools, and other devices operated in a warehouse environment while maintaining the highest level of productivity, accuracy, and safety.
• Must be organized and proficient and maintain required performance and quality standards.
• Help stock merchandise.
• Help keep the store clean and safe.

Job Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2+ years of relevant work experience
• Must be 24 years of age
• Clean driving record and hold a state driver’s license
• Have an acceptable accident and moving violation Motor Vehicle Record
• Satisfactorily pass a drug test
• 2 plus years of Forklift experience
• Must be friendly and professional
• Offer excellent customer service
• Basic math skills and reading a tape measure
• Bilingual is a plus
• Millwork experience is a plus
• Must be able to work morning, evening, and Saturday shifts
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds

Position: Full-time position

Schedule varies between morning and evening shifts including Saturdays. The Window Depot hours are Mon-Fri 7am- 6pm and Saturday’s 8:00am-4:00pm. Closed on Sundays.

Pay Range: $18.00-$20.00 per hour, Compensation DOE

Physical Demands

Ability to sit and remain alert while driving for extended periods of time; Ability to shift manual transmission and operate foot pedals; Ability to perform frequent squatting or crouching to handle position and secure windows and doors; Able to enter and exit the vehicle’s cab as many as 45 times a day or more. Able to perform frequent pushing or pulling of windows and doors weighing up to 100 pounds on a dolly or cart.

Able to frequently carry windows and doors weighing up to 50 pounds of varying size and shape and occasionally carry windows and doors weighing up to 100 pounds; Able to frequently reach for cargo above shoulder level, at waist level and below waist level for maneuvering and directing the controls to operate the truck; Able to

hook/unhook various commercial vehicle combinations, manually lower and raise landing gear, operate the fifth wheel lever, lock and release pintle-hooks, attach and release safety chains, open and close cargo doors, climb into and out of vehicles, fuel vehicles and check engine oil coolant levels.

Work Environment

Work is normally performed in a warehouse/loading dock setting with deliveries to offices or laboratories.

Sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning; Work may, on occasion, involve exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Work environment involves minimal exposure to physical risks, such as operating dangerous equipment or working with chemicals.
