Delivery Helper

Mireles Party Ice, Inc. is growing and we are adding to our Delivery team. In order to keep up with the growing demand from our customers, we are looking to add to our morning crew as well as begin transitioning to an evening crew.

Morning crew starts at 6 am.

The primary responsibility for our DELIVERY team include:

• Loading pallets onto their delivery truck with an electric pallet jack and/or forklift.
• Travel along an established route and deliver ice products to various customers including convenience stores, restaurants, bars, special events, etc. Routes may also receive an additional call in orders to deliver between route stops
• Deliver packaged ice (mostly 10 and 20 lb bags) onsite at customers' locations. Employees transfer ice from the pallet onto a hand truck and deliver ice to the freezer or customer-specified area. May require transporting a hand truck across ramps, stairs, or docks in all weather conditions.
• Employees must clean up (sweep and mop) any spilled water and ice while onsite at customer locations. The driver and helper must maintain a clean and organized truck throughout the day.
• Maintaining equipment on the delivery truck, as well as cleaning and sanitize company-owned equipment provided at customer locations.
• Routes may need to deliver and set ice merchandisers (freezer storage cabinets) at customer locations or special events occasionally.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 per hour
