Delivery Manager – IoT & Robotics

As the Delivery Manager for the IoT Platform and Emerging Technologies, you will own the end-to-end technical delivery of IoT, Robotics, AI-driven, and other emerging technology solutions across the enterprise. Ensure that platform capabilities, innovation pilots, and production deployments are delivered on time, with high quality, and in alignment with business priorities .

You will be responsible for managing Agile teams, coordinating cross-functional workstreams, driving innovation projects to execution, and defining and tracking delivery KPIs that ensure predictable and transparent delivery performance.

Key Responsibilities:

End-to-End Technical Delivery

• Own and manage end-to-end technical delivery of IoT Platform capabilities, Robotics integrations, AI components, and emerging tech initiatives.
• Ensure all features, enhancements, and platform updates are delivered on time, with quality, and aligned to architecture and security standards
• Oversee the transition from build to run, ensuring operational readiness, reliability, and platform stability.
• Lead Agile teams that are responsible for both Build (development) and Run (operations, monitoring, issue resolution) of the IoT Platform.
• Ensure rapid and stable deployments, proactive monitoring, incident management, and continuous improvement of platform services.

Onboarding and Delivery of New Use Cases

• Collaborate with Product Managers to evaluate, plan, and onboard new use cases to the IoT Platform.
• Define technical onboarding requirements, integration patterns, data ingestion needs, and deployment plans for each use case.
• Ensure new use cases pass through technical readiness, pilot testing, and smooth production rollout.

Agile Delivery Leadership

• Lead and optimize Agile ceremonies—sprint planning, grooming, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Manage sprint velocity, backlog flow, dependencies, and remove blockers to maintain predictable delivery.
• Drive cross-team alignment across build, run, and support functions.

Innovation & Pilot Execution

• Lead the execution of PoCs, pilots, and experiments for emerging technologies (IoT, Robotics, AI).
• Ensure innovation projects follow a structured delivery approach—concept → prototype → pilot → scale.

Delivery Planning & Governance

• Create detailed delivery plans, timelines, resource allocations, technical dependencies, and risk mitigation plans.
• Ensure adherence to governance standards, architectural patterns, and cybersecurity guidelines.

KPI Definition & Performance Tracking

• Define, track, and report delivery KPIs including sprint velocity, cycle time, defect leakage, SLA adherence, platform uptime, and run performance metrics.
• Implement continuous improvement frameworks to enhance delivery throughput and operational quality.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Product Managers to ensure delivery aligns with business priorities and roadmap commitments.
• Collaborate with architects and tech leads to refine designs and validate technical feasibility.
• Work with operations and business teams to ensure seamless go-live, handover, and post-launch stability.

Vendor & Partner Management

• Manage external vendors, IoT device partners, robotics integrators, and development partners for on-time and quality delivery.
• Track vendor performance, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to SLAs and deliverables.

Quality Assurance & Release Management

• Ensure robust testing practices (functional, integration, performance, security) across all builds.
• Lead release planning, deployment coordination, and post-release validation.

Documentation & Communication

• Provide transparent delivery updates and dashboards to leadership and stakeholders.
• Maintain documentation for architecture, integrations, runbooks, incident logs, and operational processes.

Team Leadership & Coaching

• Build high-performing Agile teams with strong delivery discipline and technical excellence.
• Coach team members on Agile practices, delivery standards, DevOps culture, and emerging tech execution.

Required Skills:

• Overall 10-12 years of industry experience , out of minimum 4+ years in project management, delivery management, or technical program management roles, preferably in emerging technology domains.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex technology platforms and innovation projects on time, within scope, and in alignment with technical standards.
• Experience leading teams responsible for Build and Run , operational support, incident management, and production stability.
• Demonstrated ability to manage PoCs, pilots, and innovation projects , transitioning them from prototype to production.
• Knowledge of DevOps and DevSecOps practices , CI/CD pipelines, automation, and secure delivery processes.
• Experience working in Agile environments , with strong understanding of Scrum, SAFe, or hybrid delivery models.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, product, vendors, and business stakeholders.
• Experience managing external partners, vendors, and system integrators in a multi-party delivery environment.
• Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, Scrum Master, Azure certifications, or DevOps/DevSecOps certifications are an advantage.
• Prior experience in building, scaling, or upskilling engineering or delivery teams is a strong plus.
