What would you do? The role is to support the demand planning team in managing and maintaining accurate demand forecasts for the products. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring sales trends, reviewing inventory data, and working closely with sales, supply chain, and procurement teams to ensure the availability of products while minimizing stockouts and excess inventory. You will play a key role in data management, report generation, and process optimization to improve forecasting accuracy and support the overall supply chain strategy. Assign promotion forecast based on past sales data. Finalize the range, set baseline demand excluding promotions, generate a statistical forecast, align with cost assumptions, and pre-tag promotions to enable a ready-to-execute seasonal forecast.
What are we looking for? Forecast and Order • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas) and data analysis • Strong analytical and numerical skills • Review sales vs forecast for promotion lines, determine promotion changes, tag promotion changes in Demand Planner and amend forecast based on changes made • Assist Merchandising team in implementing aspects of the category strategy to deliver KPIs including sales, profit, stock, and availability • Own and manage category/range & SKU level forecasts to ensure sales, profit availability are optimized • Understand and use relevant systems in the management of intake, availability and stock • Responsible for maintaining accurate records of commitment to providing stock intake and output forecasts • Liaise with the sourcing team and directly with brands and suppliers to ensure the optimal commitment and intake position is achieved • Work with the supply teams to ensure that stock and availability targets are met • Experience: o 7+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role Process Improvement: • Assist in identifying and implementing best practices to improve forecasting accuracy and streamline the demand planning process • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance demand forecasting and inventory management practices • Recommend and support the automation of processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort Ad-hoc Support: • Provide ad-hoc support for special projects, including new product introductions, promotional campaigns, or changes in supply chain strategy • Handle urgent or complex demand-related inquiries and provide timely responses to internal stakeholders • Experience: o 7+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role o Proven experience in demand forecasting, S&OP processes, and inventory management within a fast-paced, high-volume environment o Familiarity with ERP and demand planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis, or similar tools) Preferred Qualifications • Experience working in a high-volume, dynamic supply chain or retail environment and data visualization tools • Understanding of key demand planning metrics (e.g., forecast accuracy, bias, stockouts, fill rates)
Roles and Responsibilities: •In this role you are required to do analysis and solving of moderately complex problems • Typically creates new solutions, leveraging and, where needed, adapting existing methods and procedures • The person requires understanding of the strategic direction set by senior management as it relates to team goals • Primary upward interaction is with direct supervisor or team leads • Generally interacts with peers and/or management levels at a client and/or within Accenture • The person should require minimal guidance when determining methods and procedures on new assignments • Decisions often impact the team in which they reside and occasionally impact other teams • Individual would manage medium-small sized teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Accenture • Please note that this role may require you to work in rotational shifts
