Job Summary:

The Demand Planner is responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts, analyzing market trends, and aligning demand planning with supply chain, sales, and marketing teams. The role ensures product availability while minimizing excess inventory, optimizing working capital, and supporting business growth.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop, manage, and maintain demand forecasts using statistical models, historical sales data, and market intelligence.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to integrate business insights into forecasting.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability.
  • Identify demand trends, seasonality, and potential risks/opportunities that may impact supply chain performance.
  • Prepare and present monthly demand planning reports and dashboards to senior management.
  • Drive the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring alignment between demand, supply, and financial targets.
  • Partner with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize stock-outs or overstock.
  • Support product launches, promotions, and discontinuations with accurate demand projections.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Use advanced planning systems (APS) and ERP tools to manage demand planning activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Master’s degree or APICS/IBF certification (CPIM, CSCP, CPF, or ACPF) preferred.

Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management in a multinational environment.
  • Proven experience with S&OP processes and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using forecasting tools (SAP APO, Oracle Demantra, Kinaxis, Anaplan, or similar).
