Job Overview: The Demand Planner for PepsiCo will partner with Sales and Marketing to develop an accurate demand forecast for SKUs in the designated area of the business. The individual will be responsible for forecast management including base business, promotional plans, new launch volumes, and seasonality. The Demand Planner will support initiatives as assigned by the Director of Supply Chain Planning and support cross functional divisional projects.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns.
  • Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities.
  • Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
  • Successfully communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management.
  • Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies.
  • Conduct monthly/Weekly forecast maintenance.
  • Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Shared accountability for achieving customer service, inventory targets and excess & obsolete inventory goals in partnership with supply planners
Qualifications:
Knowledge / Skill
  • BA/BS required, in the area of Supply Chain or related quantitative discipline.
  • Fundamental knowledge of the Supply Chain including supply planning, forecasting models, inventory management, manufacturing, and distribution
  • Knowledge of ERP system – SAP / JDA
  • Proficiency level in Ms-office with strength in Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and project manager.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years in demand planning role with experience in cross-functional positions preferably in FMCG business. Additional experience in other supply chain roles
  • CSCP / CPIM is highly preferred.
