We are looking for a Demand Planner (Snacks) to join our Strategy & Transformation team based in Istanbul.

This role is expected to achieve volume and profit objectives within specifically assigned customers through productive relationships, planning and execution compatible with channel/company strategy.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare driver data for forecasts for ST: Responsible from Snacks Category, TT Sales channel short term demand planning process via IBP Demand Engine (O9) for 0-16weeks horizon at DFU level
  • Develop driver-based weekly forecast for ST: Approves & review the data and model feed for completeness for all demand drivers and historical demand
  • Review and adjust driver-based weekly forecast for ST: Review exceptions and Incorporate inputs from VMI (replenishments) and Customer collaboration (implants) teams into the forecast. Update manual building blocks, resolve exceptions and provide manual incremental enrichment to weekly forecast. Reconcile forecast to all levels and get to one continuous forecast in ST. Identify gaps to AOP, iS&OP
  • Execute iS&OE process: Compare mid-term top down and short-term bottoms up forecast. Review CoC. Facilitate Demand Control Review of forecast, R&Os and incorporate decisions from weekly Demand Control review and publish forecast to supply chain on Monday nights
  • Measure weekly demand plan performance for ST: Measure performance of weekly forecast KPI together with category FA. Root Cause Analysis and trigger Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives together with category FA
  • Demand Control Process: Align on weekly demand plan
  • Responsible for summarizing the adjustments made to the weekly Demand forecast based on demand drivers, demand sensing signals, market and customer collaboration insights
  • Responsible for summarizing decisions taken in the previous iS&OE cycles and adjustments made to the weekly demand forecast based on those decisions
  • Review product performance, performance of existing promotions and innovations against forecast and conduct root cause analysis; align on demand deviations, forecast assumptions updates and adjustments due to product roll-over inputs
  • Review the updated weekly demand forecast and if required adjust the forecast based on demand sensing signals, demand drivers and forecast accuracy alert
  • Align on consensus demand forecast and publish demand plan; Compare plan with iS&OP commitments and identify need for opportunities to close gap to plan (if any)
  • Collaborate with Innovation, Sales, Marketing and Finance teams to enrich the driver-based forecast and identify R&Os
  • Responsible for translation of driver inputs from cross-functional partners into a unit / volume demand plan and make sure that they are understood by the participants of the IBP cycle
  • Responsible for KPI exceptions root causing and accountable for forecast accuracy and forecast value add metrics
  • Review demand fluctuations, market insights, and R&Os to provide forecast scenarios
  • Champion and advocate the IBP Demand planning processes and participate in Demand Control Meeting
  • Work closely with the new Analytics Hub to make sure automatics drivers are appropriately incorporated and in case of manual building blocks, create a process to make them objective
  • Participate in IBP sub-processes (e.g. Product Review, Demand Review, Supply Review, Integration Reconciliation, Management Business Review) and operate to the correct standard and deliver value within the demand planning domain.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in generating accurate ST Demand Planning outputs and manage DP tools and organization at fast moving consumer goods, including advanced modelling, collaborative planning, demand sensing, promotions planning, new product introduction planning, demand shaping and demand scenarios management
  • High level of credibility & business acumen is required, must be commercially savvy, with strong analytical skills. Strong understanding of the IBP processes, demand planning and forecasting.
  • Ability to process and resolve complex issues, establish priorities and action plans across the value chain
  • Would typically have a strong forecast ability, good understanding of category dynamics and a background with sound commercial, finance &supply chain understanding, including S&OE, S&OP and AOP experience.
  • Hugely passionate advocate of the IBP process and its demand planning elements – ability to engage, build rapport & trusted among the IBP participants.
  • Strong team player
  • Self-starter capable of managing his/her own agenda within a complex, fast paced environment.
  • Comfortable with process discipline and process adherence, but also able to identify and take opportunities to further develop and strengthen the process without compromising the end state
  • 6+ years of demand planning experience at a middle to senior level within another FMCG company or operation based company.
  • Good English proficiency
