The Analyst, Demand Planning will be responsible for providing analysis, demand forecasting, inventory management and preparation of the information needed for the IBP (Integrated Business Planning) Process. They will perform various functions, including quantitative analysis, cost benefit analysis, data mining, data modeling, help in the new Kinaxis system, KPI Reporting, Constraint Process, actualization of the Consumpiton/Shipment Models, etc. This position will work directly with the Senior Manager, Demand Planning on specific brands and reporting needs. They will work cross functionally with Marketing, Sales, Finance and the Supply Chain to help achieve high forecast accuracy.
Supervise and mentor Demand Planning Manager. Responsibilities include interviewing, educating and training employees. Manage the Demand Planning Team by planning, assigning and directing work. Develop direct reports through performance appraisals and career path coaching.
Manage the demand planning forecasting processes to provide the Supply Chain with a detailed, timely forecast for input into the monthly S&OP process.
Lead monthly consensus dialogue in the Step 2 S&OP Demand Review. Promote a culture of collaboration and teamwork across the organization.
Develop the operations forecast for multiple time horizons. Provide guidance to demand planners, in data analysis, to identify forecast adjustments.
Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data and evaluate forecast variances versus actual demand. Provide corrective actions.
Monitor key forecast metrics with the objective to continuously reduce forecast error.
Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and then refine the forecast to reflect updated Sales and Marketing assumptions. Interact with Sales and Marketing to understand demand forecast drivers.
Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain and Customer Service to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand inputs into the operations forecast.
Use and maintain the operations forecast in (TM1).
Provide timely and accurate item level forecast changes to the production planners.
Liaison to Finance Department in updating the Long Range Plan (LRP) assumptions.
Continuous improvement for demand planning processes and systems.
Report Key KPI’s and root cause/create plan of action at the SKU level
Bachelor’s Degree required, and an MBA is a plus.
3+ years experience in CPG/OTC Demand Planning/Forecasting preferred; with at least 2 years influencing senior managers across multiple functions.
Knowledge of JD Edwards and SAP systems preferred or other ERP system.
Proficient in PC skills, especially MS Office, Excel is a must.

The salary range for this position is: $51,800.00 - $73,666.00
