Role Overview
We are looking for a data-driven Demand Forecasting Specialist to develop and refine demand plans that keep Valeo Health's supply chain efficient, cost-effective and responsive to market needs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, has strong analytical instincts and wants to have a direct impact on inventory availability and business planning in a fast-growing startup.

Key Responsibilities:
Demand Planning & Forecasting

  • Develop short, medium, and long-term demand forecasts using historical sales data, market trends and business inputs
  • Build and maintain statistical forecasting models; continuously refine methodology to improve forecast accuracy
  • Monitor forecast accuracy (e.g., MAPE, bias) and drive root-cause analysis on variances

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing and Product teams to incorporate promotions, launches and market intelligence into forecasts
  • Partner with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to align demand plans with inventory and replenishment strategies
  • Support S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) cycles with data-backed recommendations

Data & Reporting

  • Maintain forecasting dashboards and MIS reports for leadership visibility
  • Analyze sales trends, seasonality, and demand drivers across products/regions
  • Identify risks of stockouts or excess inventory and flag proactively

Process Improvement

  • Contribute to building scalable forecasting processes and tools as the company grows
  • Recommend and help implement forecasting software/systems improvements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Statistics, Business Analytics, Economics, or related field; MBA is a plus
  • 7–8 years of experience in demand planning and forecasting
  • Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with forecasting or ERP tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) preferred
  • Domain Expertise: E-Commerce (Marketplace & D2C Website) within FMCG or Health and Supplements
  • Leadership: Proven track record of managing and mentoring hybrid teams (both onsite and offsite)
  • Culture Fit: High-performance mindset with a strong collaborative approach
  • Prior experience in healthtech, pharma, FMCG, or a fast-growth startup environment preferred
