Responsibilities
- Formulate category planning and merchandise portfolio through data analysis, internal and external product research, and in combination with industry trends.
- Develop accurate short-term and long-term demand forecasts for all product categories (e.g. cosmetics, fashion accessories, toys, etc.), using statistical tools and business inputs.
- Complete the planning form annually to determine the procurement direction, new product launch rhythm, and the implementation of terminal display.
- Conduct multi-dimensional analysis of the consumption preferences and overall trends of user groups in the UAE, deeply explore user needs in user scenarios, and identify demand breakthroughs.
- Formulate and implement the annual/quarterly/monthly new product budget plan based on previous sales performance and situation forecasts.
- Be responsible for the selection of full-category products throughout the year by referring to the best-selling and slow-moving status of previous products and the full-chain product structure.
- Track the delivery time and logistics status of new products, formulate a planned new product launch rhythm, and continuously bring a sense of freshness to customers.
- Establish a product evaluation mechanism, manage the product life cycle, conduct regular business analysis and diagnosis, identify key issues, and propose improvement measures (including but not limited to the best-selling/slow-moving status of categories/single products, festival sales, store operation analysis, etc.).
- Continuously follow up on product sales, and analyze sales performance, product advantages, and areas requiring improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in demand planning / forecasting in retail preferably with multiple product categories.
- Advanced Excel skills
- Good understanding of supply chain concepts: lead times, safety stock, replenishment, inventory turnover.
