Demi Chef de Partie – Savory Section

Scope of Work:
Assist in daily production within the savory kitchen under the guidance of the Chef de Partie.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work according to the specifications received from the Chef in charge regarding portion size, quantity, and quality as defined in the recipe to maintain standards and consistency.
  • Support the full kitchen team in daily operations.
  • Prepare ingredients, complete mise en place, cook, and prepare dishes according to established standards.
  • Monitor kitchen equipment (chillers, freezers, etc.) to ensure proper operation and report any deviations to the Sous Chef.
  • Maintain all cooking equipment, ensuring it remains clean and in good working condition at all times.
  • Keep food storage areas clean and organized, ensuring ingredients are properly stocked and within expiration dates.
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area at all times.

General Duties:

  • Adhere to company uniform and grooming standards.
  • Foster positive working relationships, show respect, and collaborate effectively with the kitchen team.
  • Work in a timely and safe manner while handling food and physical tasks.
  • Ensure thorough and complete handover of all information to the next shift.
  • Perform any other duties as reasonably requested by management.

Communication:

Maintain clear and professional communication with management and colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.

Personal Development:

Engage in continuous learning and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and career progression.

Occasional Responsibilities:

Support special events and assist during internal and municipality audits when required.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Culinary diploma or equivalent certification.
  • 2–4 years of kitchen experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 1–2 years as a Demi Chef.
  • Basic knowledge of savory cooking methods and kitchen operations.

  • Diploma (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Demi chef de partie : 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Culinary diploma or equivalent certification. (Preferred)
