Job Purpose
Assist the Pastry Chef de Partie in the daily production of all pastry, bakery and dessert items, ensuring consistency of quality, adherence to recipes and presentation standards, and compliance with food‑safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Production
- Prepare and portion pastry doughs, creams, fillings, glazes and decorations.
- Assemble, bake and finish breads, viennoiserie, cakes, petits fours and plated desserts according to recipes and presentation guides
Quality & Consistency-
- Follow standardized recipes and portion‑control guidelines
- Conduct regular taste and visual checks to maintain consistency
Hygiene & Safety
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation at all times
- Comply with HACCP and local food‑safety standards
- Assist in routine equipment cleaning and maintenance
Inventory & Cost Control
- Monitor ingredient usage and report shortages to Sous Chef
- Assist with stock rotation (FIFO) and minimizing waste
Teamwork & Training
- Support, train and mentor Commis Pastry and kitchen trainees
- Communicate production needs and timing with front‑of‑house and events teams
Continuous Improvement
- Suggest menu enhancements, cost‑saving measures and process improvements
- Participate in recipe development and seasonal menu trials
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: QAR3,900.00 - QAR4,100.00 per month
