Denim Designer-Associate

Millennial Apparel Group is an NYC based wholesale apparel company specializing in design, manufacturing, and distribution of Juniors, Missy, Men’s, and Kids to various retail markets. We are currently seeking a highly motivated full-time designer for our women’s & girls denim divisions to join our growing company

.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO):- Designing innovative product with an understanding of how to translate trends into the off-price market.- specifically denim.

Creating flat sketches & CAD presentations providing a color / print vision for each season.- Creating cohesive mood boards & trend presentations.-

Making sure each step of the product process from inception to production is carefully reviewed & followed with a lot of attention to detail. Including fittings, lab dips, etc.-

Maintain consistent communication with cross functional teams Tech., Production, & Sales.- Ensure that product is consistent with market trends as well as overall business strategy and direction of management & sales team.-

Collaborate with merchandisers to create and execute computer-generated graphics and prints across multiple brands.-

Create and execute graphics for hangtags and packaging, ensuring consistency across multiple brands.-

Responsible for thorough market and trend research including competitive analysis.- Actively shop the local market to identify the most current trends in color, fabric, trim, silhouette, graphic / prints using creative skills to translate effectively.-

Strong organizational skills to keep records and maintain line sheets of all designs and component.

MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:- Degree in fashion design or related field- 5+ years of experience in CAD, textile, or graphic design.- Experience working with denim. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.- Strong knowledge of repeat patterns, color separation, and print production- Great attention to detail and strong ability to multitask and meet deadlines- Ability to work in a fast pace, high performance environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and accountability- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and shifting priorities.- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while collaborating in a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time- In Office

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
