• CLINIC PROCEDURES

I. Working with the dentist, responding quickly to requests and keeping the instrument ready for use.

II. Checking of dental equipment/machines if working properly including autoclave, dental chair, hand piece, x-ray machine, and sterilization washing and washer machine. X-ray software must check if working properly. Report equipment failures or breakages to the responsible person.

III. Support the Doctor with all the patient’s documentation.

IV. Arrange patient chart for next day appointments (Taking and returning to reception area) ensure the approval’s validity, patient’s information, lab works and dental instruments needed for the procedure. Monitor day lists and appointment record as necessary.

V. Communicating with insurance department and making sure request and claims are in order.

VI. Reviewing and approving reimbursement request.

VII. Preparing and drafting correspondence whenever necessary.

VIII. Organizing patient’s schedule and payments accordingly.

IX. Setting up treatment plans with specialist and making treatment estimates for each dental procedure that is set by the reviewing specialist.

• INFECTION CONTROL

I. Taking responsibility for the sanitization to ensure high standards of cleanliness and control of infection includes cleaning and disinfecting dental chair, light cure, suction and other machines in the dental clinic.

II. Transferring used/dirty instruments to sterilization area in closed container, Clean and Disinfect then keep the instrument in its pouch, and should be autoclaved as HAAD policy.

III. Doing Biological Test and Bowie Dick Test.

IV. Prepare the instruments for use at the beginning of the session and clear up at the end of the session consistent with Health and Safety protocol. Ensure that dental materials are prepared in accordance with prescribed technique.

V. Ensure safe disposal of sharps and clinical waste.
