Dental Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and the ability to support general dentistry.

Duties

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
• Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.
• Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately in EMR systems.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and manage patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Operate dental equipment including 3D scanners and assist with medical imaging as required.
• Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control standards throughout the clinic.
• Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures, including restorative work and extractions.
• Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow.

Pay is based on experience

Spanish Speaking is preferred
