Duties

• Assist the dentist during root canals treatments with precision and confidence.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary tools, and ensuring all equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and medical imaging devices are ready for use.
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and patient safety in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Manage patient flow by greeting patients as they arrive, updating medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records).
• Maintain strict infection control standards through aseptic techniques, sterilization procedures, and adherence to OSHA guidelines to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Support the dental team by handling administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist, managing medical records, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA privacy rules.

Experience

• Proven experience as a chairside dental assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with familiarity in general dentistry procedures.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
• Hands-on experience with digital imaging equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and medical imaging tools.
• Ability to perform dental assisting duties following aseptic techniques while maintaining high standards of infection control.
