Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you'll support dentists by preparing treatment areas, assisting during procedures, and ensuring patients feel comfortable and cared for. Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use following aseptic technique standards.
  • Assist dentists chairside during various procedures, including restorations, extractions, endodontic treatments, and prosthodontics.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), ensuring proper technique and patient safety in accordance with HIPAA regulations
  • Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, taking vital signs, and addressing questions to foster a comfortable environment.
  • Support infection control protocols by maintaining cleanliness, sterilization of instruments, and adhering to OSHA standards.
  • Collaborate with the dental team on administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist and managing medical documentation.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures.
  • Proficiency in dental software systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft; familiarity with Epic EMR is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
  • Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while maintaining patient comfort; certification in radiography preferred.
  • Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and experience assisting with pediatric patients is desirable.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and medical coding processes.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages including pediatrics; compassionate bedside manner required.
