Dental Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our dynamic team. This role combines clinical and administrative responsibilities, ensuring a seamless experience for our patients while supporting the dental practice's operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a thorough understanding of dental terminology, and experience with medical billing and coding. Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, providing chairside support as needed
• Manage patient scheduling, including appointments, confirmations, and follow-ups
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Perform dental coding and insurance billing
• Verify insurance coverage and handle medical collections efficiently
• Ensure the dental office is well-organized, clean, and stocked with necessary supplies
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing inquiries and concerns with professionalism
• Conduct intake procedures for new patients, including gathering medical history and care plans
• Utilize Microsoft Office for administrative tasks such as filing, typing reports, and managing correspondence
• Handle multi-line phone systems effectively while maintaining positive phone etiquette

Requirements

• Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred
• Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is essential
• Proficiency in using dental software
• Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate various software programs efficiently
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review
• Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish is a plus
• Experience in front desk operations or medical administrative support is highly valued
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction
