Dental Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting our dentists in delivering high-quality dental services. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
• Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring they are clean, organized, and equipped with appropriate supplies.
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient information using dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Perform tasks related to general dentistry, including taking X-rays, applying fluoride treatments, and polishing.
• Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
• Work collaboratively with the dental team to provide care for pediatric patients and address their unique needs.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control practices.
• Familiarity with general dentistry procedures and terminology.
• Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is advantageous.
• Understanding of anatomy related to dental health is essential.
• Experience working in pediatrics is a plus but not mandatory.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
• Ability to manage medical records accurately while maintaining patient confidentiality.
