```Duties```
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Perform dental charting and documentation
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain patient records
- Provide chairside assistance during dental treatments
- Perform basic laboratory procedures, such as pouring and trimming models

```Skills```
- Proficient in medical records management and documentation
- Knowledge of medical coding and billing procedures
- Experience with Dentrix or other dental practice management software
- Ability to take accurate vital signs, including blood pressure and pulse rate
- Competent in dental radiography techniques and interpretation of x-rays
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy practices
- Skilled in medical imaging techniques, such as intraoral and extraoral radiography
- Strong attention to detail in medical documentation and record keeping
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
- Knowledge of aseptic technique for infection control

As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the dentist in providing quality dental care to our patients. You will be responsible for assisting with various dental procedures, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a safe and clean environment. Your skills in medical records management, medical coding, Dentrix software, vital sign measurement, x-ray imaging, HIPAA compliance, medical documentation, pediatric dentistry, and aseptic technique will be essential in carrying out your duties effectively.
