Job Description

Family Dental Arts of Florida, Inc. is hiring a Dental Assistant to join our growing, patient-focused dental practice in Margate, Florida. We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented professional with dental assisting experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced clinical environment and delivering excellent patient care.

This role is ideal for a Dental Assistant experienced in four-handed dentistry, X-rays, instrument sterilization, and Open Dental software.

Dental Assistant Responsibilities

• Prepare dental treatment rooms before patient procedures
• Assist the dentist using four-handed dentistry techniques
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments following OSHA and HIPAA guidelines
• Take and process digital dental X-rays
• Update and manage patient charts and clinical notes
• Use Open Dental software for charting, scheduling, and documentation
• Perform expanded dental assisting functions as permitted by the Florida Board of Dentistry
• Provide patients with clear pre-operative and post-operative instructions
• Support clinical and administrative duties as needed

Dental Assistant Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience as a Dental Assistant (required)
• Experience with Open Dental (preferred but not required)
• Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and terminology
• Strong communication and patient service skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy dental office
• Commitment to patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations

Schedule

• Monday – Thursday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Every other Saturday
