YOUR ROLE AS A DENTAL ASSISTANT

As a Dental Assistant at Fourth Street Clinic, you play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered dental services that genuinely improve health outcomes. Your day-to-day involves providing direct patient care and clinical support to our talented dental providers, ensuring every visit is smooth and efficient. You'll assist with chairside procedures, educate patients about dental health, maintain strict infection control protocols, and manage the operatory for a seamless experience.

Plus, you'll have the opportunity to lend a hand at the front desk and help with scheduling when needed. Reporting directly to the Dentist/Dental Director, you will be an essential part of our mission to foster a healthier community through excellent dental care!

ARE YOU A GOOD FIT FOR THIS DENTAL ASSISTANT JOB?

To thrive as a Dental Assistant at Fourth Street Clinic, you'll need a solid foundation of skills and knowledge. A high school diploma or GED is essential, along with a familiarity with dental terminology—think tooth numbering and surfaces. Your CPR/BLS certification is a must, as is a radiology certification (or the willingness to obtain it upon hire). Strong organizational skills and an eagle-eyed attention to detail will help you prioritize tasks effectively.

Proficiency with basic computer applications and electronic health records is crucial for managing patient information seamlessly. Excellent communication skills are necessary, enabling you to provide top-notch customer service and foster positive relationships with patients. Familiarity with HIPAA and OSHA requirements ensures compliance and safety in our clinic. Proficiency in Spanish is strongly preferred, adding valuable support to our diverse community.

Lastly, all employees must pass a criminal background check upon hire to maintain our commitment to trust and integrity.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
