Dental Assistant

Your expertise in dental assisting, infection control, and medical documentation will help us maintain the highest standards of dental health and patient satisfaction. We are open 4 days a week! Looking for a candidate for 3-4 days.

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including general dentistry.
  • Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies while maintaining aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
  • Take X-rays, including 3D scans, ensuring accurate positioning and patient comfort.
  • Experience with Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance for confidentiality.
  • Provide excellent dental reception services by scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and verifying insurance information.
  • Monitor vital signs and assist with medical imaging to support comprehensive patient assessments.
  • Support four-handed dentistry practices to maximize efficiency and reduce procedure time.
  • Educate patients on dental terminology, post-treatment care instructions, and preventive oral health practices.

Skills

  • Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, medical documentation, and medical coding.
  • Experience with Dentrix- preferred not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of infection control standards and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe clinical environment.
  • Familiarity with dental terminology.
  • Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners with precision.
  • Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge relevant to dental procedures and medical terminology for accurate documentation.
