Dental Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our periodontal practice. The ideal candidate will support our dental team in providing high-quality patient care while ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the clinic. This role requires a solid understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation, adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Assist with appointment scheduling and patient follow-ups as needed.
• Perform basic tasks including, taking x-rays, taking impressions, digital scanning and tracking supply inventory.
• Ensure Osha compliance to maintain a safe clinical environment.
• Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient experience and improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
• X-ray certification
• Infection control and sterilization techniques.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining professionalism at all times.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
