Dental Assistant

Overview

We are looking to grow our team!

We are an endodontic specialty practice that focuses on individualized patient care in a calm and welcoming environment. We save teeth and relieve dental pain.

Our practice is limited to performing root canals, root canal retreatment, and root repair and/or root canal surgeries.

We are a small team of 6 and are ready to grow our team by adding a friendly and hard-working dental assistant to our group.

The position requires customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work well independently and with other assistants and admin staff.

Duties

  • Seat patient, reviewing paperwork and basic information into patient chart
  • Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are available.
  • Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and HIPAA regulations.
  • Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately in medical documentation.
  • Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures including surgical and non surgical endodontics
  • Maintain infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Manage dental records efficiently, including medical coding and documentation of treatments performed.
  • Utilize 3D scanners for imaging when necessary, ensuring accurate representation of dental structures.
  • Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow effectively. This may even include taking some calls and scheduling patients at times

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic is preferred.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical documentation is essential.
  • Radiology license
  • Nitrous Oxide certification is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining patient records.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care while adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
