Dental Assistant

Duties

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
• Chairside assist during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, implant placement and restorations, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring all tools and materials are ready.
• Take and develop X-ray images, including 3D scans, while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
• Manage patient records accurately using Dentrix; document medical history, vital signs, and treatment notes precisely.
• Conduct medical documentation and coding for procedures to ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
• Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care instructions in a friendly, professional manner.

Requirements

• Proven experience in dental assisting.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages and team members.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
• Proficiency with Dentrix is preferred.
• Ability to operate X-ray machines safely and accurately; familiarity with CBCT is desired.
• Knowledge of pediatric dentistry procedures and experience working with children is preferred.
• CPR certification is a plus.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
