What You’ll Do Day to Day

As a Dental Assistant at Smile Shoppe, you’ll support our doctors and clinical teams by helping create a smooth, efficient, and positive experience for every patient.

Clinical Support

• Perform age-appropriate prophylaxis procedures within scope (cleanings, polishing, fluoride application) under dentist supervision
• Support preventive care visits by preparing patients, educating families on oral hygiene, and reinforcing home-care habits
• Maintain accurate clinical notes related to preventive services provided
• Prepare rooms before patients arrive and turn rooms over efficiently between appointments
• Take and process X-rays as needed
• Ensure instruments are properly cleaned, sterilized, and set up according to protocol
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment at all times

Patient & Parent Experience

• Greet patients warmly and help them feel comfortable and confident
• Explain procedures in a calm, kid-friendly way
• Support behavior guidance techniques during appointments
• Help parents understand next steps, post-op instructions, and expectations

Team Support & Flow

• Communicate clearly with doctors, assistants, and front desk staff
• Help keep the schedule running on time
• Step in where needed — teamwork is a big deal here
• Follow established systems, workflows, and office protocols

What We’re Looking For

• DA or RDA
• Pediatric experience is a plus, but not required — we’re happy to train the right person
• Strong work ethic and a positive, team-first attitude
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Willingness to learn, grow, and take feedback constructively

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
