Duties

• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care.
• Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow to optimize office efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
• Utilize dental software, Dentrix, for patient management and record keeping.
• Support all patients with a friendly demeanor, making them feel comfortable during their visits.
• Operate 3D iTero scanners for imaging when required, demonstrating knowledge of dental anatomy.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with knowledge of general dentistry practices.
• Familiarity with infection control protocols and dental coding is essential.
• Proficiency in using Dentrix is preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of anatomy related to dentistry is beneficial.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while providing excellent patient care.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and staff effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
